I’m pretty sure when I bought this skirt it sat quietly in the closet. I loved it, but I wasn’t sure what to pair red with! Now I see that it’s pretty versatile. Browns, blues, sparkle or stripes … Which is your favorite?
Try mixing and matching patterns in your closet, you might be surprised what you come up with! I love the look of this paisley halter with striped jacket. Paired with an armful of bangles, nautical feels like it’s been turned upside down and given a new fresh look.
It’s a new year, which means a new you! Fashion isn’t about looking a certain way, it’s about feeling a certain way. This year, bring out that inner fashionista, the dare-devil or the flower child that makes you feel good. Try something new. Be someone different. You may be surprised by the confidence it brings out!
Over the weekend I had the pleasure of working with Rebecca Gibbons Pandit ( blogger at Tech In Real Life ). Not only did we push the envelope with her style, but we came up with some pretty fun and slightly different ways to pair items you might have hanging around in your closet. Although I’m pretty sure most of you don’t own a pair of these killer British flag tights, how fun are they?! We paired these up with some cute black shorts and other accessories. The final results are rockin.

Here they are in no particular order:
The other day I rolled out of bed and said “I need camouflage pants!” Paired with pearls and zippers, this lovely lady-like look blends hard and soft styles together, setting it apart from the rest.

I love the layering of patterns in this outfit, not to mention the neutral color palette. Trish shows us that we can still be flashy and fun without having to wear bright colors! Thanks for sharing!

If there’s one thing my mom loves it’s sparkle, and today she is sharing a look that I just LOVE! Color and sparkles all rolled into one … along with a pina colada accessory, YUM! What a fun way to dress up a pair of shorts. Thanks for sharing!

Next up? Linda from Massachusetts. This outfit breaks the mold of typical office attire. What a great combination of items she’s used here to give her work day a bit of a jolt. I love the transparency and soft lines in the cardigan mixed with the pattern in the top. Definitely an outfit that will make you stand out at work! Thanks for sharing Linda!
Linda Says: “You inspired me with your belts and sweater/blazers. My wardrobe was calling for an uplift. This is my feel good outfit with a metallic belt and light and airy sweater”

Typically I don’t post on Sundays but I couldn’t resist! My mom sent me this photo of her extremely cute rubber gardening boots. Cute and stylish in the garden, I had to share!
